Signum Service Intervals

Ok, so if vauxhall head office / local vauxhall dealer don't know, i don't see how I am expected to know this:

For the signum, is it a fixed 20k / 1 year service or is it a 'wait until the indicator comes on' job

Reason for my question, my Signum came from a non-VX garage, and is ex-avix hire. It's done 16.5K, but is March 04, so the year has come and past, but has never had a service.

I phoned VX head office to check on Warranty status etc, and was told, "Hmm, your car could be 'ecoservice-flex' " i.e. wait for the light, but could be normal fixed interval - go down to your dealer, they'll plug it in and tell you."

Got there, the guy said there was no way of telling by plugging it in, but reckons it's fixed interval (although his boss said it was wait for the light, before stating ignorance on the matter and washing his hands of the whole affair)

The service manual says "The Vectra C & Signum have a flexible service system (EcoService - Flex)"

So which is it? Anyone know???

i have a Sgnum,

its really easy to tell if ur on ecoflex service m8,

with the ignition off and the key out, press the odometer reset buton in the dash ( bottom right of the instrument cluster )
if its on ecoflex service the mileage untill it needs a service will pop up in the display, ( by the button, not the main display for the stereo )
the miles are up for as long as the button is pressed in,

if it dont do this, its on ordinary service intervals from VX

Hello all,

I just service my car every year same goes for my wife and the kids have started doing the same, keeps it neat tidy and simple, unless you do a lot of miles and might need more than 1 service per year............just a thought.

Hmm, confused, the car has done 16K, but when I bring up the service display as above, it says "30,000". Is this telling me there is another 30K before it will need a service, or that it should be serviced at 30k.

@Bryan, I would usually do this as well, but I've bought the car at 18 months old, without it being serviced, so was trying to establish if the car is out of warranty if it was on ecoservice, or whether it was on ecoflex if you see what I mean.

The number only pops up on an a car set on ECOFlex and it's the miles left to a service. If yours is always showing 30K then it sounds like something is wrong there.

OR.................................it was serviced b4 he bought it, as mine has just been reset back to 30k on my ecoservice flex on a 2.2 DTi signum on a 53 plate, after doin 17k ( i decided it needed one being 2 years old )

i take it you have no physical service record with the car, but the only peeps who would bother to reset the counter would be a VX agent ??

Signum Servicing (Diesel) = every 2 years or 30,000 miles or when the service indicator comes up (Which ever is first). (think i've got that right?)

For your own piece of mind (in the absence of hard evidence of service record) - you could get it serviced, and get Vx to reset Eco-Flex service light.

Also whilst your car is in, get Vx to look at any warranty work or niggles you have

That way you know that your car has been serviced and that Eco-Flex is working
