Default where can i take a constant +12v feed from for front parking sensors?

    hi all
as above really.. where can i take a constant +12v feed from for front parking sensors.
the kit says to use brake light feed but i want to use it though a switch on my dash that i can turn on and off when req.
can i just use any constant +12v feed though the on/off switch? if so i was thinking i could use the ignition live of cig lighter, this also powers my after market stereo?

also i have brought 5amp inline fuse for main power to the sensor unit, is a 5amp fuse enough?

    thanks

You can use the live from the cig lighter, this is protected by a 30A fuse, so providing your total current draw for the stereo and sensors is no more than 30A it should work fine. I believe a 7.5A fuse is needed for parking sensors.

maybe i shouldnt use the cig lighter one then as its powering my aftermarket stereo and also possibly satnav or iphone, dont know if i'd be overloading that one? will take 5amp fuse back and get 7.5amp.

right im thinking im going to use socket 2 pin 4 for powering the sensor unit which is a ign live with 7.5 amp fuse, can i also power the front senors to this with the on/off switch for them in between and put the return of that switch to the blue wire on sensor unit (which would of been brake feed) will use reverse feed for rears.
    does this sound ok??

Could splice it off the feed for the climate/air con panel, Its a nice easy part to just pop out, pleanty of room to work behind it too.

Don't do this unless you are piggy-backing it from the fuse panel

Yes, you'll need one of these

You can take a live feed from the fusebox beside the glovebox, just check which fuse is for your Cig lighter and use the piggyback there to provide your switched live.
