Default loaned my car ... hmmmph

I've lent my lovely XP2 to my dad to ferry round some relatives we have up from London.... I am now bobbing round in his Toyota Celica, and have to say it's a horrid car.
Feels bouncy and unsafe in comparison to the Vec - I know the Vec is larger and undoubtedly heavier, but I just don't feel safe.
Interior is cheap and plasticky, the engine sounds naff, the exhaust rasps, it has no cruise control....

Can't wait to get my own car back... makes you realise just how good these Vecs are!!!

Feel for you, lent mine to me dad on Saturday for him to do a airport run and was stuck with his Nissan Duke, nice on the inside, so sluggish, only a 1.6!

Yep I keep thinking about selling mine (Signum) but each time I drive it I wonder why.
The only reasonable excuse I can come up with is it's too big for me now, I only need a small 5 door hatch for running around in. I know I'll be foregoing the comfort for something less so in a small hatch.

Every time I drive SWMBO's 1.4 petrol 207 pug I can't believe how gutless it is. At 3000 rpm you still don't get to 70 mph whereas in my diesel 150 Vec I'd be doing over a ton (apparently) at 3000 rpm!

It's safe to say that my Vec is better in every department than her pug.

Last time he borrowed it (well, my 08 SRI CDTI), I had a text message at 9 in the morning saying he was on the way to London running them back (400 mile return trip)!!! wasn't ready for that one!

The Celica is a 1.8 140 bhp model,... went to overtake and nearly shat myself!! ... took an age to pass the tractor where the Vec would just whiz past. No power at all,... glad to be swapping back this afternoon!!!
