I bought a Nilfisk from argos, they are £50 to £60 for a basic model.
I'm inpressed with it, but it is my first one.
You will also need to buy a good quality hose (£32) and an electrical extension cable (£20).
Reading other reviews, the latest Karcher one's seem to have a poor quality motor, as I have no experience with them.
yeah have the hose and stuff, but no washer. What model of nilfisk do you have?
screwfix and halfords both got deals on karcher at min
Go nilfisk, Karcher are poorly built these days something to do with the guts of it now being made of plastic where nilfisk is brass much better quality.
Plus karcher customer service is Crap, ive got a nilfisk c120 got it for £99 on amazon had it 3 months with no problems whereas my karcher i owned a year and it broke 4 times.
I too have a Nilfisk and like Tony its the first one i've ever bought. Well impressed with it.
Karcher have just released new model which is water cooled and comes with a three year guarantee. The 5.200 comes with a free under chassis cleaner for £349 and 4.200 for 279 and 3.200 for 229. Powerfull machines with brass cylinder head.

i take it you're not getting a hosepipe ban over there then ;o)
A hose pipe a sponge and a brush is all you need.
Cold water pressure washers are rubbish they leak the seals pack in after a few years and build quality is poor.
If you want one look for a small diesel unit there not all huge machines like on car wash forecourts and do the job very well.
Me i'll stay with the hose pipe and sponge.
