You can remove the DPF and jet wash it. Or go for a long, quick drive down the motorway, but even that won't do a proper job.
The way I stated is the standard Vauxhall method I'm afraid.

Confirm, even on a run, high revs trigger it. Never had probs with my egr or dpf, but I have a heavy right foot and let it fully warm up whenever possible.
