Question Phantom Low Level Water Warning

Hi, it seems like everything on my Vectra is wired to warnings to the dashboard display and it looks as if there are loads of fault codes to worry about.
Have just cleared a fault code by changing all the glow plugs, only one dead but such a long job to get at, seemed worthwhile changing all six.
My problem is a phantom low level water warning. Not there on start up but comes on after running for some time. The temp gauge stays stable at good temp, no overheating and the water level stays on level in expansion bottle.
If i stop the car and restart, the warning has gone again.
I am thinking there is a float switch with wiring plug under centre of expansion bottle. Whether the float is sticking or wiring blip which activates warning and it stays on dash display until reset.
Anyone confirm this or have any other ideas?

Have you checked the water level at the time the warning comes on?

Try disconnecting the plug to the sensor and cleaning the contacts too.

There may be air in the system. I had this problem when I changed the coolant. Just removed the bleed screw until coolant free of air bubbles came out, then refitted, then squeezed the coolant hoses to expel any trapped air. Been fine since.

Might need a new expansion tank (with sensor). Onlt £20 from the dealers

Still the same problem but a few different observations.
When i get warning, sometimes level is about 15mm below cold level, and if i top this up, then sometimes level ends up 30mm above cold level.
Once the level ended up high enough to pressure seep out of cap but very little, but still temp stays perfectly stable around 87 degrees C.
Wondering if i have a air bleed fault as i have had the cap off lots of times.
Is there a bleed sequence on here anywhere, with location of bleed screw?
