Default Advice needed on removing door panels....

Ok so went about trying to replace the standard speakers today and fell at the first hurdle!!!!

I got the torx screws out ok and 'popped' the door off the clips..... But I can't for the life of me figure out how to pull the panel up and over the door lock. Its like its glued or something. I know I need to disconnect the lock cable and another cable but was going to do this when the panel was off and free cos I can't pull it back far enough to see where to disconnect them. (if that makes sense!)

I've read the how2 and still no joy!

    Any ideas???

make sure the window is down gives you better grip on it but essentially the door card does have to come up and off can be a right pita if never removed before, then you can disconnect the door release cable

just be careful as you could probably already tell the door card like to try to fold up on itself at the join

Do you need to disconnect the electric window/mirror switch first? ie, pop it off and disconect the connector. Had to do that on my last car so might be the same

I tried taking it off but couldn't pull the panel back far enough to see the connector, I'm guessing there is a clip or clasp?

When I did it on my last car (not a vauxall) I had to prise the actual switch out of the door handle where it is mounted and then disconnected the switch so the door card could be lifted up and off. Im not sure the vectra is the same but id imagine it might be. Someone on here must know for sure bud

The switch pops out the door card and pulls up, then you can disconnect the cable from it
