Default Little known fact.... On postage

    Hi all

Heard on the news and have just read online that postage stamps will be going up next month

It’s quite a hike in price – 30% extra on a 1st class stamp (going up to 60p) and 39% on a 2nd class stamp (going up to 50p)

There is nothing stopping you from buying stamps now for future use. As long as a stamp says ‘1st’ on the face you can use it whenever you like and it will count as first class postage - even in 10 years time lol...

With a new priced 2nd class stamp costing more than an old price 1st class stamp – I’ll be stocking up now and save a lot on a books of stamps... Its all legal and above board and a nice saving as well...

save a couple of quid and get them in now.....

Got this little tip when I was on a contract for Post Office Counters Ltd as there was a rise coming up. Post master asked how many I wanted... Said it wasn't worth it at the time but 14 per stamp is a bit different

its a saving of £1.68 for a book of 12... Wasn't that long ago that that was the price of the book... period.....

I have found first class postage to be outstanding lately. Everything we have sent and received has arrived next day.
I found it to be very poor last year , but this year for some reason things really seem to have gotten back to the good old days.
I do not mind paying a bit more for Royal Mail as long as the service remains excellent.
I think I am right, that our postage service is still classed as the best in the world ?

I'm amazed you can still send something from one end of the country to the other, overnight, for under a quid - it's amazing value I think...

To quote Jack Dee: If people complain then they should just tell them to take it themselves. See how far they get with their 27p train ticket...

well Antsss tried to send me some tools and they never arrived. no card through the door nothing, couple of weeks later they return to him as undeliverable. Ummm well if RM had actually bothered to try delivering them then it would have been successful.

    Yes it is!

Problem is you can scan stuff and email it now and you get it in seconds. I post so little these days and recieve very little as well, except Royalmail junk mailers . Most of my billing is done online or received via email

Peter Griffin: Ah, c'mon, Lois, isn't 'bribe' just another word for 'love'?
