odd starting issue - CDTI 150

on my new XP CDTI 150, I have an odd starting issue

Cold starts are fine, but when the engine has been running for some time, if I re-start after say an hours driving, there's more of a clunk and a little rattle. If I repeat the starting this gets worse....
Runs perfectly well when driving

This also doesn't happen every time,.. it's quite random

Any ideas?....

Starter motor maybe?

Also, try pressing the clutch to the floor as you start the car. See if that makes any differene too

it turns over well enough so would this rule out the starter motor?....

I have neard of the starter causing vibrations/rattling as it's operated, even if it spins quickly...

Mine does the same. Cold fine but when warm/hot starts first time but the while car shakes/vibrates. I'm gonna get the starter changed.
