    Default Panic buying already

Got to go to Shrewsbury tomorrow (grandson's birthday) maybe Worcester later in week, then Cosford for the scale model show. With that in mind, when we went out for a quick midnight Asda run, I stopped at the Newport Shell garage to put some diesel in - out of fuel, both petrol and diesel.
We pass the clocktower Shell garage, so I tried there - no fuel, petrol or diesel.
Got to Asda, the 24hr pumps still had fuel so I put what I think we'll be using for the next week in. How mad is that? Two big fuel stations sold right out?
How bad is this latest strike suposed to be, last I heard the Army had been tasked with driving the tankers.

Looks like poor planning to cause the petrol station to run out of fuel as the strike is not due to start for another two weeks (union has still to provide a date)

I know Shell run their tanks to the minimum
The days of full tanks are long gone now

Just goes to show that we are not allowed to protest about anything in our own way?

Why not stop using our cars for 2 weeks or more if you can manage it, prices for fuel will come down.

you mean try and hold goverment to ransom? maybe every should boycott one petrol company and if everyone did that then that company would bring prices down to get people back then others would follow suit

Unfortunately it has been suggested before, but until you get EVERYONE to comply, then it is always a no goer.

We British just take it up the Ar## when the Government does something we dont like, with out stiff upper lip.

We should be more like France, blockade the roads, block the ferry ports, bring the country to a standstill.

Revolution is in the air, lets go for it?

Or maybe you know the 3p per liter a gallon isnt so bad, we will soon get used to it, I dont mind paying most of my salary in tax to pay for the bankers to enjoy their bonuses when they put the banks in jeopardy. I dont mind having to work an extra few years before I get my state pension, I dont mind paying more and getting less......

    You decide!!

The only problem with strike it's got sod all to do with the petrol prices, the tanker drivers are after wage rises .
I think what they are going to do is wrong and the public shouldn't support them at all , they ate going out for all the wrong reasons .

Striking is not the answer to any wage grumbles.

    I don't get the strikes...

We'll all pay the same over the space of a month in fuel, so it's not gonna hit the companies where it hurts. Pointless exercise...

And anyone still blaming bankers for the economy shouldn't beleive everything they read in the paper... Lol
