Question brown/grey-yellow wires under the ashtray

Does anyone know what the brown/grey-yellow wires under the ashtray are used for ?
see pic (I borrowed it from someone but cannot find the thread anymore...)

It seems that it works together with the dashboard lights.
Is it Ok if I use this for an ashtray-light?
Anyhow, it's the only wiring I can reach 'cause I cannot remove the ashtray base
And third: do I have to take care for something if I tape one or two LED-dots somewhere on the ashtray base?

It is an Opel MY 06 without 'smokers pack', which means I have an ashtray (funny but luckily ) and a power socket, but no lighter, no ashtray light and no illuminated ring around the lighter

Mine uses a connector with this colouring for the ashtray lamp, so should be OK.

It may be the illumination feed to the ashtray light and also the gearshift lighting on the automatics...i'll have a look later on...

It's definitely the wiring to go into the ashtray light. I'm guessing yours hasn't got the light in the ashtray then?
