    Default Check parking light?

    What's the deal with this?

Keep getting a error up saying " check front parking light" on the GID.

This only comes up when my lights are turned off, if I turn on my lights they all work and the message doesn't come up?

    Any ideas anyone?

It will put up the error a little while before the bulb blows as the bulb will change resistance.

Give it a few weeks and it will go faulty.

The bulb testing system works by passing a very small current through the bulbs - not enough to light them, but enough to measure the voltage drop so it can determine if the resistance is outside the acceptable range. So a bulb doesn't actually have to be completely failed to register as in need of replacement - it's probably that it's only got a few hours of life left.

Alternatively, you might just have a dirty connection, which is making it think the bulb is about to fail. So I'd take both sidelight bulbs out, give their contacts a clean and refit them.

Cheers lads I'll get 2 from work and change them and see if the connections are ok.
