    Default Cooling fan problem

    When the car runs up to temp when ideling the fan only kicks in after the gauge just moves passed 90 mark the dash light comes on and fan kicks in and brings the gauge back under 90 but only happens when ideling would this be a fail safe to keep the engine from over heating and the fans knackerd as it only kicks in above 90


    It's a 55 1.8 125bhp

    The fan kicks in at 93c on those engines. Whist your driving the airflow should keep it to around 85c in normal conditions.

    Back to the drawing board

    What else could be setting this light off as its every time it's ideling the light comes on just as the fan kicks in
