    Default Kids booster cushion

My 8 year old is just at the borderline point (at 133cms tall!) where she seems a bit too big for the traditional booster seat but she needs something to raise her up a bit to get the seatbelt sitting safely

I've read that you can get booster cushions instead of booster seats (i.e the seats have the arms on the them, I guess the cushions don't?) but I can't find them anywhere apart from some scabby looking objects on ebay

Its really for the wifes motor (a 2008 Mini) so the little 'un can sit in the front seat - the current booster seat fits, but its difficult to put the seat belt in as the booster seat arms get in the way!

Anyone else got to this stage, and what did you use? I don't want to take any chances with her safety but she's getting to the point where she doesn't seem to fit the booster seat.

My daughters 9 and tall for her age, we've just replaced her old Graco seat with a Halfords booster seat. £8.99 and does what it should.

Is that one with the arms on the side? I think we'll need one without the arms.

No arms, just a basic booster seat.

There are still legalities in relation to booster cushions they still need to be "tethered" to the car whereas booster seats are held in place by the seat/lap belt

There is a company called bubble bum who have an inflatable seat (v2) which should meet your needs

Cheers for the info guys. That halfords one might do the trick as the arms aren't too big and won't get in the way
