Default How important to align fuel filter with housing?

Z19dth, gona renew my fuel filter soon but only after reading the how2 did i realise you got to align the arrow on the fuel filter with the arrow on the filter lid, going back about 2yrs the last time i changed it, i managed just unscrew the lid without taking the housing out and basically plonked the new filter in and re tightened the lid, which goes back to my question how important is it to align the arrows on fitment? Cheers

    Default

the filter lid should only fit the pot in 1 direction.

if your talking about the arrows on the pipe connections then its fuel direction and the pipes must go back in the correct connections
