    Default Rebore

    I have a 1.9 CDTI 120bph l diesel engine, its a "55"plate car and sri trim level.

It needs a new EGR valve and also the injectorsare going to be profressionally cleaned. The car has been used as a taxi so its been hammered.

Im ging to get the engine rebuilt, rebored, engine block skimmed and want to have the full works done on it.

Is it possible to have this specific engine rebored bigger to make it more powerful? Im going to have the ECU remapped aswell. Can someone recommend best system?

Could someone say if ive missed anything off the list belowof things they should be doing on an engine rebuild service? I also want the inside cleaning spotless.

    • Full new gasket set including metal head gasket
    • New Oil Pump (model dependant)
    • New Water Pump (model dependant)
    • New Oil Cooler (model dependant)
    • New Core Plugs
    • Block bored
    • Block decked
    • Machined stock crank
    • Balanced crank, flywheel and pulley assembly
    • Balanced rods and pistons
    • ARP Head bolts
    • Head cleaned, surfaced, valves lapped and new valve stem oil seals etc

    Critch,

Do you know if Birkenhead engines give before and after performance printouts? Do you know if they can do injector cleaning? Same again before and after print out reports?

It's not cheap getting engine build you no?

My mates just had his done cost home over 2k

Why don't you find a low milage 16v engine?

A doubt anything is out their for bigger pistons etc.
If the bores where scored etc you could get it bored out and fit oversized rings.

A don't think they do as not got rolling road or anything as far as I no.

And I think they do do injectors yes.

If your looking for more power and want to keep diesel I'd be saying the 16v 150 1.9 engine is way to go
