    Question Irmscher suspension kit

Just received a full Irmscher suspension kit that I won on Ebay for my V6 Elite.
I'd like to have a go at fitting it myself but, although I've played the DIY mechanic quite a lot in the past, have never worked on suspension.
Can someone please advise how difficult the job is, any useful tips, and what equipment/tools I will need?

ain't done mine yet so i don't know the full score on the setup...last car i did i got some more top spring cups/bearings,popped up local tyre/exhaust place and got them to put the springs on the struts..(they charged me a fiver)..then just a case of swapping complete units...prob the best advice tho..make sure u have some more transport.(missis's car/mates etc)..nothing worse than having ya car in bits..then needing 'that spanner' you can't find because you put it in a 'safe place'

The rears are a piece of cake ,did both sides in just over half an hour (got some SRI springs of Mark (GSI 3.2) ), the fronts are easy too once you know what your doing , you'll need 18mm ring/open end spanner a 17mm as well torx E18, E10,and E12, as said you'll need compressors for the fronts , i did mine at work on my ramp with air tools so was pretty easy.Any probs just ask mate

Thanks for the reassurance guys. Sounds like a reasonably easy job on the back end but how about the front end; is there an order I need to do things?

    remove road wheel..
using 17mm spanner and 18mm socket undo top balljoint on the antirollbar link and release
using 18mm spanner and socket undo and remove the 2 clamp bolts that hold the hub to the strut upright..

using the e10 socket remove the plastic 'electrical bracket from the strut upright.

using pliers, remove the brake flexihose spring clip, slide hose forward and out to the side.

under the bonnet, remove the 3 x torx bolts ( support the strut while doing it.)

the strut will now be off the car..

    Benchwork......

Clamp the strut GENTLY in a vice or the like.. install the 2 spring compressors and tighten till the spring tension is off the spring seats..

Using a damper socket and the torx insert, remove the topnut from the strut.

lift off the top plate and the top bearing/bump stop/ shaft gaiter..

GENTLY unwind and remove the spring compressors.. Check the spring for nylon sleeves on the lower end.. recover these if they are fitted..

now discard the damper and old spring..

GENTLY clamp the new damper in the vice..

if the old springs had nylon sleeves, fit these to the new springs and then fit the compressors..

    compress the springs about 2"

slide the spring over the damper shaft, re-insert the top bearing/gaiter inside the new spring.. slide on the bumpstop..

replace the top plate and fit the nut while again holding the shaft with the insert bit.. tighten right up..

release the compressors while locating the spring in it's lower seat, notice the depression for the spring tail to sit in..

remove the compressors and re-fit to the car....

    reassembly is reverse of removal..

as memeory serves it's e25... i'd have to look at the sockets on a rail to tell you for deffo..( and i've had a couple of sherberts)..

to help with the lower bolt, shoot some WD40 over them 1st..they get a lot of road grit over them..Top bolt is all internal so it will run out really easily..
