Yet another snapped spring..

I had the rear springs on my GSi replaced last month due to the usual snappage. Then a few days ago I was driving along and BANG, the front nearside spring gave way.

I've been quoted £190 to supply/fit a pair of new springs by my local garage. Is this reasonable? Sadly I don't have the tools/time/patience/motivation to take the job on myself

It's not bad to be honest. Could probably get it a little bit cheaper. It's not a particularly hard job for a home mechanic if you know someone with the tools

Lower the car mate, My APEX springs were £110 for 4 and i fitted them
easy enough

Am sure one of our fellow scottish members would help ye oot

Yeah go apex but get them on eBay, I got mine for £100.46 I think it was

and if you know someone or if any of the Scottish members are willing to help as mentioned in the above post then just supply the bacon butties and tea/coffee and you're well away
