    Unhappy Help Needed Please...Knock knock...

hi there ,I need help, well thats what the misses says any way,

    vectra c 2.2 sri 2002 owned for 5 years

I've had the dreaded knockin at rear of my vectra C 2.2 sri for about 6 months

read all how 2's on this site, which was more helpful than Haynes Manual

and have replaced both upper control arms yesterday,

and replaced rear anti rool bar bushes today

the ride feels so much better and both rose bushes WERE knacked on hub side

a lot of knockin as now gone but i still get knock from o/s/r

    check usual exhaust/boot catch

would a shock knock if knackerd??

it def sounds like knockin comin from o/s/r suspension at below 30mph
above that noise seems to vanish

    any suggestions?

    would be appreciated.

    Thank you Dave

Yes a shock could make a noise if the gas/oil has escaped. Also worth checking the rear drop links as well

If you took the shock off you should be able to tell. I have done quite a few shock changes now and you will find that if they are faulty they push in really easy or do not push in smoothly.

have you checked the springs to see if you have broken one, its a common issue?

There would probably be a little bit of play in the rubber mountings. Not an overly expensive part http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VAUXHALL-V...item2ebb8a0dc7

Good idea for checking the springs aswell, you'd probably have noticed that when you where changing the control arms tho

    nice link stevie .

for the price of £20 plus free postage for a pair of drop links
I will order those aswell now ,and put them on as soon as they arrive,
