    Default EGR valve

    afternoon peoples,

i just got home from work and only to discover that the engine light come on. put the tester on and got a code P0400 EGR valve.

now as many of you know i had problems with this car when i done a swap for it but in the paperwork was a reciept for a bnew EGR valve in 2009.

how long do they last for? and what is the best option for me now as in do i replace it or look at an upgrade for the engine?

    all advice greatfull

If EGR is gone, Might be worth considering having it mapped out, In the long run will be better.

Probably just needs a clean , its worth removing the inlet manifold and boost sensor along with the egr and clean them all with carburettor cleaner , should only take about 45 minutes

Dude, if you can take an inlet manifold off in 45 minutes you're a better man than me...
