    Default Thinking of selling!

I'm really bored of my car already... I always think when you get a car it needs to be really good at one thing. For example, my last car was just an Audi A4, nothing amazing but its build quality was exceptional and that was its one thing. My wifes car is a qashqui which again is nothing amazing but its great for family trips and getting the little one in and out of. My Vectra doesnt really seem to have its thing... I mean, its not particularly bad at anything but it doesnt excell at anything and I'm finding it boring.

The car I've seen to take its place is a Jaguar X type 2.0 Diesel XS and I'm thinking of this because they seem to offer a lot of value for money on the second hand market and I've always loved the look of Jags.

What do you lot reckon.... You all seem to love your Vectra's so what do you love about them... Maybe I just need to find what you see!

Well it is a Mondeo in disguise and the cabin is quite cramped. I tried one and couldnt get my shoulders within the B posts.

It will also be a higher insurance group and higher servicing costs just because it is a Jaguar.

Still like the look of them, just think they are overpriced.

I like my Vectra because it was a good price, has good fuel economy is large confortable and practical.

I had a 2.0D Jag for a while and it was nice. But I didn't rate the build quality anything above Ford/Vauxhall.

It also has a pretty heavy clutch on the 2.0 (but not the 2.2) so try before you buy - it gets really tiring in traffic!

I had loads of niggles but nothing major with mine (howling crankshaft was the reason I got rid in the end) and it averaged about 42mpg - but did go like stink.

One very un-jag like thing about it is the amount of smoke it produces! They all smoke like chimneys!

I drive the 2.8 V6 elite T - comfortable, still feels like new, goes like a rocket when I need it to, got all the mod cons so ticks all the boxes for me. Normally I'm itching to change after 12-18 months...............had this one 5 years now
