    Question Back boxes

    Hi Guys
Just bought a 3.2 GSI which has two rear back boxes. The problem I have is that the ones on the car look awfull . The tail pipes bend to face the road and do not come through the nice cutouts that VX put there for tail pipes. Can any of you guys suggest a set of back boxes that would look better. Not to pricey though!

take it to a proper exhurst place (not a kwik fit place) they might be able chop the bend tip off to weld new shiney tips on as it sounds like you have elite back boxes on to me

To be honest they do not seem to be fitted correctly. I get the odd clunk when hitting a bump. I think it was a cheap exhaust and cowboy fitted!

Sounds to me like you have had the earlier version fitted (as fitted to 2002MY to 2004MY) in error

Should be easy enough to cut the tail pipe then fit an extension
On the GSi (the same as the SRi) these have alloy trims fitted to the end
When replacing the rear silencer these alloy trims are simply levered off then refitted to the new rear silencer
Once fitted that should hide any pipe welding work
