Default Veccy C 1.8 VVT 2008 Exhaust Flexi

    Hi All

The wife's Veccy C 2008 1.8 VVT exhaust has started to blow. Crawled underneath tonight and it's the flexy in the front pipe that's gone. I had this one before on her previous Veccy B, hey ho...

Rather than mess about welding in flexi's I just wanted to change the front pipe. Does anyone know what I should be expecting to pay for the pipe, assumed about £40-50 (non genuine).

Secondly the 3 nuts on the cat/pipe joint look very rusty and I'm guessing these will shear off whatever I try. Is the preferred method to just drill the studs out and fit M8 instead.

    Thanks in advance.

Front pipe on my old 06 VVT SRi was replaced just before I sold the car last year as the exact same thing happened. Was £109 fitted.

Thanks all, got a local quote of £66 for the pipe so an hours labour seems about £100 ish. Oh, the main dealer quoted £254 for the pipe plus fitting !
