i picked my car up yesterday (monday) same colour as my old 56 plate 1.9 cdti sri, but this is a 1.8 petrol non vvt, and to say its vast in size compared to the astra it doesn`t feel slow, i know the astra was very quick and loads of torque, this still fells fast just not quick, which is good for me and the family, just a few questions tho:

1. the mirrors on the doors only move left/right/up but not down, so is it a case of the switch on the drivers door needs replacing?, as the garage i got it from managed to cover most of the inside with back to black, which i spent most of the day removing,
2. whats the `safeguard` on the main screen mean and does it restrict anythin, it only disappears when i press the scroll wheel on the left of the steering wheel,
3. is it a possibility that it has bluetooth like my astra had factory fitted as it has the same control layout on the steering wheel,
4. wheres the obd 2 plug as i have the torque app on my phone so it was handy when i had my astra,
5. are there any hidden menus on the screen that can be accessed like the astra,
6. and how do find any fault codes, as when i had the astra you did a pedal test and the ecn code came up

The switch needs cleaning to sort your first problem, take it apart and rub the contacts with a rubber.

Safeguard could be an alarm problem, check the ultra sonics and also the common fault is a break in the "glass break" ribbon that goes round the rear glass.

OBD plug is under the astray.

Just do a search with your phone to see if it can find a bluetooth HU.

Hidden menu depends on what HU you have, and lastly yes the pedal test works on the 1.8.

Safeguard check came up on mine. Was the sensors on the rear windows. There is a how to on the site to bypass them instead of forking out for new windows.
Pedal test also available on this site.
Hidden menus can be accessed too.
Tech 2 plug under the front ashtray if I remember right.
