    Default Climate control speed gauge

Hi there I have a problem with the speed control of the climate control, the problem is it only works on the 4th speed but nothing is happening when i put it on to 3,2 or 1 because of it my windows inside the car are misting up. does anyone know how to fix it? I read online that the fuses are blown but i have no idea where they are or how to change them. thank you

Hi, have a search for the "resistor pack". Also search for "pollen filter drain" as the normal cause of them blowing is a blocked drain that fills with water and enters the car through the heater and makes the passenger side floor wet. On its way in it usually frys the resistor pack that controls the fan speed.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Why has your climate control only got 4 speeds?

    Mine has 7.

Or is yours the midway climate control between standard air con and fully auto climate control?

Its an SRi so its unlikely to be full CC its more likely to be normal A/C.

Although whats this midway control you mention?

I was referring to the 3 types of A/C

    Bog standard AC,

    Automatic AC system,

    and Electronic climate control system.

Shown in the handbook (page 153 in a 2007 0ne)

Very similar to the bog standard AC, but

The large centre knob has numbers (actual heat settings) stamped around the outside of it instead of just a blue to red line.
The fan speed knob has an auto setting as well as 4 speeds.
