Finding part number and code, HELP

Is there anyway of finding out the part number or code of a part fitted to the car with out looking at it, all i have is the car reg.

I need to identify which abs control unit is fitted to mates 2006 1.4 astra.

Looking at car is not an option.

You can pay to go on gm website an out the vin in and go that way.
