Despite what people say on here, the Insignia is a fine car, its a much better car than the Vectra. Reports that fuel economy on a 2.0cdti isnt as good as a 1.9cdti Vec seem to be founded, but as for performance not being as good, im not sure. I have driven both and cant really feel any diference (apart from the Insignia having a smoother power delivery).

I personally would look at the Elite purely for the AFL's and LED DRL's, they look so much better!

The Insignia in standard form will not be as quick as your Vectra, but they are indeed a nice drive & imo a great motor... much better than the mondeo

I went from a vectra 1.9 150 to a insignia 2.0 160 and I could tell much difference in power myself, they seemed about the same. I used to get better mpg in my vectra though, as the insignia is such a heavy car.

The interior of the insignia was far superior though, especially because I had the nav and iPod input so could use the HU to choose songs etc.

The exterior on the vectra was much better though.

Worth an upgrade though I'd say, but it used to cost £100 a full tank about a year ago and I'd be filling up twice a month usually and I don't even do that many miles. The shocking mpg was my only let down on the car.

Used to be 12p per mile on average in the Vectra (As needed prices for self employed stats) and it was about 21p per mile in the insignia due to the lower mpg.
