Hi, I average about 50mpg and thats being pretty careful with the throttle and using cruise control most times. This is a mix of town and mostly to & from work which is dual carriddge way at silly times in the morning, so no traffic.

I have reset my computer before i have left home just to see what it does to work with out a car in sight at about 3 am. It said 65mpg average and thats doing 50 ish with cruise.

So over all very good consumption, and if i do give it some welly it usually goes down to 45 mpg.

I tow a caravan as well and this averages about 30 -35 mpg but then thats doing 65 - 68 mph. Always need to get there quick to stop the kids moaning ( honest ).

Mines a 2.0 dti, gets 35mpg as an average right now, was getting 38 in the heat, used as a cab.

Did some long run stuff, a week in Devon with hills and 300+miles travelling down showed an average of about 47 if my mem serves me right. hth.

many thanks for the replies, I just got the car and the first 1/3 of the dial is moving downward faster than I thought it would do.

Gona fill up today and see how I've done.

Beat a Saab last night, so that most probably help the eco.

    we shall see though.....

It does that, full tank and it's around 60 miles that it moves off the full mark, then slides a bit quicker doen to the halfway mark.
