any of you guys go the gym and use any of these. ive been going now for over 2 years. only doing weights. i take protein and creatine and have been since starting at the gym. i dont want to lose weight as im not over weight at all. im 5.11 and just over 12 stone just started getting a big bigger round the middle haha ( my wifes had two kids and uses that as her excuse so im going to use it too) ive heard people at our gym saying they use fat burning supplements but ive never seen them. anyone used them after some advice. Im not looking at getting a six pack here by any means just after trimming my belly a bit

    Myprotein.co.uk have some good stuff.

Thermopure tablets seem to work, ALC powder and CLA aid fat loss but both taste horrible, look them up...

In all honesty just drop the carbs tho, I've dropped a stone in first 6 weeks by taking my diet seriously and cutting out beer and bread... Boring tho ha.

Some advice would be to do more cardio as part of your work out routine, weights are good but you don't burn much fat in my experience. Sorry I can't answer your supplement question!

tbh i think its carbs being my downfall. but ive been told a good carb intake is good for building muscle. think i do need to re think my diet, like i say im trying to put on weight well muscle so dont want to stop eating, ive stopped eating white bread and started on the whole meal stuff if that helps haha

Yes I would reduce the carbs also. Increasing cardio will help but you will need to do long distances which will make you even hungrier and possibly reduce muscle size. You tend to use blood glycogen for the first hour of exercise before transferring to stored stocks of energy (fat)
Have you tried replacing a snack after exercise with a protein shake/drink?

It's too hard to do both, you either need to cut or bulk to be fair...

If your feeling a bit bloated carb cycle for 6/8 week, you will lose size but muscle memory is a wonderfull thing

If you're trying to bulk, you're going to put extra fat on, unless you have a very very clean diet, even then not everything you put on will be muscle.

Clean up the diet, add in some interval training like sprints, tabata circuits or something as well. But worry about it once you've hit the muscle gain you want

Invest in one of those pan steamer sets too... Awesome for putting a few new potatoes in the bottom, chicken or fish then the veg. It's the only thing I use in the kitchen.

I have lost 19lbs so far this year cutting up. I've done this by dropping carbs to 150g a day with a carb up day every 3 days of 200g Keeping the protein high 1g per lb bodyweight and bodyfat is 10.2% (38years old and currently 202lbs)

I'm doing 30mins cardio everyday and pyramid/powerlifting every other day and eating 90% my carbs before 3pm and after that its protein and veg

If you are sensitive to caffeine those tablets can play havoc with your sleep, if you do use them start small and build up
