    That is right

    I'm on 88 K now, original belt.

Have a belt kit and tools on standby, and hope to change it over Easter.

100 K may be the correct interval, but I'll feel happier getting it done a bit early - car's 4 in June

100k or 10 years. A lot of timing belts break due to water pump failures but the VVt's water pump does not run off the timing belt apparently. Id say 80k was about the maximum, but its all down to each individual belt. If its remained dry and free from oil contamination it will most likely last a lot longer.

Crikey - I'm glad most of you don't work in aviation. Component changes / maintenance is planned to set points, on hours flown or time installed. You'd never pull something at 65% life
