clutch pedal question

i had a spring snap on the actual clutch pedal, the spring just keeps the pedal at the top.

i went to vauxhall and asked them how much it would be for the spring and they told me i would need to buy the whole pedal assembly. this would cost about £750!!!!!

ive just filled in th eonline form for the part at 247spares.co.uk and have just had an email from them sayin they can supply a complete clutch pedal with spring etc for £25 inc vat and post.

now, i need to phone 247spares and make sure its the right part and for the right car because the £725 difference is makin me think it might be wrong.


i was just wondering if anyone has had experience/knowledge with changing the pedals.

According to TIS, it's a complete pedal box removal.. brake pedal et al..

Looks like thats what VX want to sell you.

You don't need the whole box, VX revised this as it is a common prob, they just fitted a spring on my pedal and all was fine.

Typical of VX £750 for a spring, the pedal box is free. Glad they have seen the light and now sell the spring on it,s own.
