Default Plasma's Meet at the Autowerks

Following on from my thread 'Plasma's MiniMeet' the other weekend the snapped camber/toe-in bolt from the opposite side was scheduled to be removed this weekend...

I couldnt go through what we had to do remove the last one so I thought of an easier way, remove the entire rear axle and all components and change the crossmember.

We managed to remove the entire lot in 1hr 40mins and then spent a while attaching the new wiring I had for the rear-axle and axle level sensor for my next project.

Bolted the new one in position and attached all relevant control arms and everything else that was dangling off of it... Happier now the new frame is in place and the slot for the toe-in bolt is nice and flat/square.

In attendance was BobSignum and Khalid at the host venue of The AutoWerks (owned and run by our very own Harry).

Many thanks to Bob and Khalid for their assistance and to Harry for use of the ramp on his premises.

A few photos from the day

We also had a look at Harrys VXR which required a bit of fettling on the front bumper..

Had all 4 of my wheels balanced a week ago and still had vibrations, they only balanced them on one edge..... They say its correct

Got Harry to redo them and here some of the results before being rebalanced

Once rebalanced the drive home was as smooth as its ever been since I've had the car... Many many thanks to the main man Harry

I think i preffered doing khalid,s seats , at least after that weekend i did not end up looking like a chimney sweep and i would not be still digging hands full of dust out of my eyes after two days . still i ll be back for round three next week .

his prices are good , Harry may not be the cheapest but i can say the finish is as good if not better than new . he is always busy with wheels ( gets them from a few garages as well as a couple off detailers from dw . khalid

Lois Griffin: Peter! You're bribing your daughter with a car?
Peter Griffin: Ah, c'mon, Lois, isn't 'bribe' just another word for 'love'?
