    Default 1.9 CDTI SRI Clutch

    Hi folks
Ok so ive had my Vectra less than a year and its costing me a fortune in repairs.
The latest problem is the clutch has gone taking the dual mass flywheel with it aswell.
Ive had a few quotes ranging from £700-£1400. My local mechanic can do the job for £717+vat but the cheapest place ive seen has said £700 all in(im a bit wary as it seems to cheap)

What im wondering is can i buy the parts myself and get my mechanic to fit them? Ive found quite a few websites selling the flywheel and clutch kit but im not 100% sure what else i need.
I know it was leaking hydralic fluid when it went so does the clutch kit sort that out?
Basically i know i need a dual mass flywheel and a clutch kit. but what else?
Any help of even links to products i need much appreciated
    Thanks
    Ryan

Dmf, clutch kit (slave cylinder, friction plate, an other bit I can't remember). Those should be less that £500 including vat. Then you just need the 5.5 hours labour to fit it and I would recomend a fluid change rather than using the gearbox fluid again.

The cover plate was the other bit in the kit stupid brain wasn't working yesterday. What engine do you have?

    1.9 150ps - Z19DTH - F40
    1.9 120ps - Z19DT - pre-facelift F40
    1.9 120ps - Z19DT - facelift M32

The flywheel there does not state what engine it is for.

    Your gonna need.
    Dmf
Clutch pressure plate and friction plate
    Csc ( slave cylinder)
Gear box oil (will need 3 litres as f40 takes 2.4l)
Might also be worth getting a new drain and fill plug due to they can get damaged on removal due to them getting corroded in place.

If getting a garage to do it then you won't but if not you'll need brake fluid dot 4 aswel.

Wish I could have found a garage to do mine that cheap.

Mine was just shy 748 trade price. And took me 9 hours to change on my v6

If you don't know then may aswel. As its only a small cost compared to new engine/ rebuild.

The two can not be done together, as you would have to remove the engine mounts on bothsides and the engine would fall out lol. So he would have to do one, then the other. Two day job.
