...I did a 200 miles drive today in my 1.9 15o CDTi and absolutely nothing went wrong! I didn't need the inlet manifold changed, the DMF replaced, the EGR unblocked or anything...


Ok, it's got 113,000 miles, an MAS Performance remap to 185/295, no EGR valve and had a nice shiny new inlet manifold 10,000 miles ago, but it cruises on quite happily without a care in the world, whilst achieving this:

...and looking decidedly better than this:



Not bad for a tractor...

(Just for info, the manifold was changed because I wanted to clean it, but it seemed silly to do all that work and stick the old one back on - it was working fine and is still waiting for me to clean it up and sell on... )

I've done 1,700 miles the last two weeks and I've needed to fit a new battery, new thermostat and I'll be fitting a new cam sensor on Monday

If I could keep that up, I reckon 800 miles from the tank would be achievable. I almost want to start with a full tank at John O'Groats and do a road trip south to see how far I get...
