    Default Petrol Tank

    Hi,

What's the capacity of the petrol tank on a 1.8 Club?

I don't have the computer that tells me my mph, so I have downloaded a phone app to work it out.

    Thanks

    Carl

    Capacity wont help mate.
Fill it to the brim, do some miles and refill it to the brim.
Stick mileage done off your trip and litres added to refill.
I use an iphone app to do same and get 44mpg over a full tank, 1.8vvt.

Won't be that accurate as when the light comes on will vary with whether you're uphill, downhill, road camber etc.

Think it's 61 litres mate or 13.4 gallons in old money.

Only way you're going to tell is to fill it up until it cuts off because fuel's come up the filler neck. Fuel gauges cannot be 100% accurate for all kinds of reasons (shape of tank, fuel expanding/contracting with pressure/temperature, pressure in tank above the fuel and how much fuel has evaporated into it etc).
