    Default 1.8 VVTi Condensor Help

A bit of advice required .....

When I turn on my aircon I get a hissing sound that goes when I turn it off. Only topped up last year so guess something is shot.

Took a look at the Condensor and it is pretty smashed on the lower fins so thinking it may be shot.

After looking at these are they suitable for the 1.8 VVTi 58 plate and which one of the two do I need?

Going to have a go at changing, get the system drained and do. Prob put fine mesh behind grill as well.

Just a thought tho.. If your condensor is leaking - it will leak all the gas out and then the lack of preasure will stop the compressor running..

So - if you are hearing a hiss - it cant be due to a leak as all the gas would have escaped by now?

Unsure, just getting a hissing sound when aircon switched on, no colder air. Read through some threads and seems the same as others.

Is it easier to get the one with the drier fitted? One listed with and one without ..... I assume they all have them fitted?
