I think it's either on the front of the engine but by the gear box or at the back of the engine by the gearbox up behind the drive shaft held in by 1 torx screw (t30?) 2 pin plug at about 45 degree angle, can be very tight to get out cause they swell up

changed the crankshaft sensor to find out the car is not a 1.8 but 1.6 and out of a vectra b. and the idiot who changed the enging and not informing anyone has butchered the wiring harness and the wires to the crankshaft sensor so my friend thinks thats the problem.
i need this fixed asap and not costing a fortune

did you buy the car privatly?

if the engine is different mate and the dvla etc dont know then basically insurance is invalid to.

have you go voltage to the crank sensor?

i think your best bet would be to get an auto spark on it, as itll probably be a lot more cost effective than you trying to fix things and finding other problems as you.

where as a spark or go diagnostic garag with and oscillscope can prove sensors and actuators are working correctly within a couple of minutes
