    Default Battery 1.8vvt

    Hi guys, I am sure this is prob a daft question but hey ho! I am needin a new battery. Am gonna buy online just to save a few £'s but does the 1.8vvt use the same battery as the 1.8? If not what should I be lookin for?

    I apologise the for thickness but I am defo not a car mechanic of any sort

    Just make sure the Ah (amp hour) number is the same or higher. Normaly about 35-45 ah on a petrol

    There should be a sticker on the battery that states its current specifications.

    Get one the same, or better!

    Amp hour is important but look at the cold cranking amps the original Vauxhall battery will be rating using (din amps) which is written on the top I think from memory the battery is an 027 battery which is rated at about 550 EN amps, go on something like euro car parts website where you can type your reg in and get the exact part number

    Battery number 075 is correct. recently changed the battery on my 58 plate 1.8 VVT SRi. Paid £48 for one from my local motor factors, battery came with a 3 year guarantee.

    I was a bit disappointed that the original battery hadn't lasted longer though.

    Thought it might have been an 075, the 027 and 075 are basically the same battery the 027 is slightly taller and a bit more powerful, you have plenty of room in there to take a much bigger battery like a 100 or even a 110 which is fitted to the diesels, bigger is always better the don't work as hard and for that reason last longer
