CDTI Clutch

Noticed last night that when the car is in neutral and I let the clutch out I get a loudish noise where the bite would be if in gear. Do they all do this or could it be a possible fault developing?

When I release the clutch in neutral in mine I don't get so much as a noise but the car almost seams to be biting in gear and feels as though as its trying jump forward.

a had the same kind a thing when a was letting my clutch out it turned out to be a damaged flywheel
