    My Dad's knob came off.......

    OOOOOOH ERRRRRRRRRRRRRR!! lol

In his 02.....so i just used white spirt in the shaft/splines, abit of evo stick, and stuck it back on, never moved again!

If you do this, make sure it's straight before you shove it back on, as it wont come off again!

i have done 2000+ miles in my car and the missus used it the weekend and claims the gear knob just popped off, claimed she wasnt even touching it at the time.

tbh i just lined it up and hit it, i needed to reverse the car on the drive. its been there ever since and doesnt seem to be getting any looser.

I had this problem with mine! How ever many times I put in back in it's place, gave it a good whack you could be certain it would fly off while crusin' down the motorway!

I used Araldite in the end!

Yes - mine did it too, whist the car was only 18 months old.........

So I rang the girl on reception at the local Vauxhall and asked her if my knob was covered by warranty
