Interim Service

So whats involved in this service ?

Engine oil and filter, not a lot more than that depending on mileage. May also include air filter, pollen filter etc. Its all detailed in your service book.

Yip - oil and filter only on an interim so they reckon!

There are quite a lot of 'inspect and replace if necessary' items as well though.

"Inspections" - just another word for drawing up a list of work they want to charge you for.

intrim service is just oil and filter change then just the fluid level checks etc

Halfords will do you an Interim service for £119 (more if you want synthetic oil) - lot of money for an oil change and filter - takes half an hour and £30 in parts to do it yourself

Agree - but dont not inspect the car too.. Take the time to give her a good look over and make sure nothing is amiss.

I fully agree - I would have thought that most diy owners who do their own maintainence carry out these checks / inspections on a weekly basis as a matter of course - no need to wait for an annual service
