    Default Cystic Fibrosis

Most of you have probably seen this in the news: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/6158479.stm

While I don't have much time for Gordon Brown (in fact, don't even get me started on the whole subject), but I wouldn't wish this on anyone. On our local radio station (BBC 3 Counties) somebody rang in this morning who's a sufferer. He spoke very well, without any self pity, and explained that things were pretty bad at the moment. he's permanently on oxygen, and he's on the list for a double lung transplant. The presenter asked what would happen if he didn't get a transplant. "I've got 6-12 months, and that's it". Certainly puts your own problems in perspective, doesn't it.......

Again, not a thing you'd wish on anyone, plus the kid isn't guilty of his dad's poor work.

A young lady in the campsite entertainment team where we stayed this yr has it, shes about 22 and to look at her you wouldn't know, lovely she was too, we had her kid sister over playing with my two girls.

One thing that did get me was the blatant NHS plug that was used, as if the NHS is going to treat the kid, it'll be the best private health care you can get for the kid of a minister, I thought it poor they use the *we use the NHS card* routine, clearly as a vote issue.
