Sounds good, but....
"Please note that we are custom remap specialists and the above power figures are just an indication of what we can do and not a maximum power gain."
...anyway, what do I know
The thurlby CDTi`s are kicking out 200ish so 205 isn`t a huge claim ? There was an astra with a tuning box RR`d at 201 ...
All the contact details are a bit vague and only a mobile number. Looks like a dogy one man band to me!
Was thinkin that maself Brocks!!!!
Prices?.
How much for a V6 CDTi?.
*EDIT* No matter, just spotted the prices on the website. £300 for the remap.
My T8 Astra was a while ago 205bhp so big woo woo??? Not now....
Be surprised as standard though you ideally need an exhaust to get over the 200bhp barrier......
205 is acheiveable but at what cost to reliability. To get those figures from a remap they must be really turning the screw (metaphorically speaking). I bet the turbo boost is turned right up and the pressure in the common rail must be at max as well.
I've had 202bhp & 304lbft from mine, but I've got a K&N Panel Filter and stainless exhaust. My box was turned up to as high as I'd dare go; needless to say it's not the setting I drive with on a daily basis.
Not really Alex? A tuning box just by altering the fuel rail pressure gets 205bhp with no turbo upgrade. A bespoke remap for the individual car would make a difference.
Exhaust is very restrictive on these as is the standard intake system.
205bhp is reliably achievable with a remap for an everyday car and a decent exhaust system. IMO you can achieve 210bhp with an exhaust and a custom bespoke remap on this engine.
Will post my graphs tommorrow when at work.
Celtic Tuning actually have a relatively good name. The forum I was a member of when I had my Leon Cupra did a group buy with them and there were no problems. Independant dyno plots on accurate rolling roads backed up their power claims.
Personally I wouldn't use them as I sent a quote request to them for my 2.2 DTi and they didn't bother getting back to me. Their loss. I'm firmly of the mindset that if they don't work to get my business, they ain't getting it. I'm not going to chase after them.
An exhaust will make little or no difference to your power output unless its from the turbo back with a sports cat. Cat back exhausts are no good for anything other than sound and longevity. Almost all of the restrictions in flow come from the downpipe and cat.
