    Default Alot of oil around injector 1 and 2

    Can anyone help I have a 54 vectra cdti 120 and seem to have a lot of oil around the first and second injector can anyone shine some light on what as coursed this happen as it starting to burn and smell inside the car. I have pictures of it but I can't upload them until I get my laptop back to show where I mean

    what i can see i think its leaking on to second one but there is that much crap round them i can't really tell i have pictures but there not brilliant but it does show what i mean with all the oil

    As critch says...injector seals. Easy and cheap job, albeit I would tackle it soon before the crud around the injectors gets too bad, as that will make it a pig of a job to remove and clean if it has been happening for a while. Good How 2 on here....albeit its for a 150, but same principles.

    Give the area a good Gunking before you start to strip it down. Work the de-greaser in with a paint brush, then there is less chance of bits of much getting in the way of the new seals.

    Mileage : 100k

    Hot engine turned off
    spray with Mr Muscle oven cleaner (foam type)
    leave for 10 mins
    jet wash off

    Will be nice and clean

    Then replace seals - job done

    it already bad enough back there will give it a try when i find the how to! stupid question i know but i heard you need a tool to remove the injectors or are they pretty easy to get off with just normal tools!

    Depends how much crud is holding them in.

    But usually big of wiggling maybe a few soft tips with a rubber hammer gets them out.

    Their is the possibilty it will need a puller but you won't know till you try
