big probs

had my vectra in the main dealers last week to have fault fixed they said it was the abs connector when they had changed it it turnrd out to be the main cim so they changed that to. I picked the car up on wednesday last week yesterday the battery light came on and the car stalled when i looked under the bonnet the pulle that drives the fan belt was laying in the engine bay and now the engine is nackered cam shaft bent and valves bent 2 can aonyone tell me if this is a result of the work done last week cause it seem s a bit of a coincidence

please clarify is it the main cam that your refering to if so the garage almost certainly at fault.

no mate its not the cam its the cim module they changed

The changing of the CIM module will be in no way related to an engine pulley failure.. the CIM module is to be found inside the car, not under the engine by, so they wouldn't have even lifted the bonnet...Sounds like you'll have to make a claim for mechanical failure under your VX warranty if you've got any..
