Road info please

Heading to Tarbert on Wed 14th, does anyone know if there are any roadworks. I will be travelling from East Kilbride.

M8 has roafworks just after braehead turn off. Once you get to the bridge you wont get any roadworks. Will keep an eye out for you buddy

As steven has said, Mayhem between J26 and J28 on the m8 because of roadworks. There's some roadworks just at the loch fyne oyster bar aswell but that probably won't cause you any problems, i was up last week and barely seen another car. Have fun!

No roadworks at the oyster bar now buddy. I actually got through the M8 roadworks quickly yesterday but it was at 10 am and noon so not exactly peak times..

Going to seat my PCV theory test. Time is at 6:45pm. I know it is a bit of a trek, but it is the first available date anywhere in Scotland, and I really need it yesterday. I will probably leave East Kilbride around 1:00pm-1:30pm so hopefully M8 will not be too busy, and I can have a nice leisurely drive up in the beast.

3hrs will easily see you from EK to Tarbert(with sightseeing stops/photos included). Lovely run for you buddy, watch your speed coming down the rest and be thankful also going out of Inveraray and into Lochgilphead(both 30 zones) - police often out with guns.

Thanks Steven, I will watch out for that. Where do you recommend for eating in Tarbert not fussed whether it is chippy or indian, chinese, or whatever.

Yes police are always there once drove up there when I bought a new focus couple of years ago and go pulled as the front number plate was missing stupid dealer only put it on with double sided tape lol

Love fish, but will probably only need a snack. Sod that a right good feed. I think the Oyster Bar might not be a good option as I am not travelling with my darling wife.
