Exclamation Signum MY 06 - Jacking points - Plastic !!!

Just a word of caution when jacking - the oblong jacking pads under the sills are made from plastic. They are heavy duty plastic, but they just plug into the sill member with a rather flimsy single `fir tree' type fixing. Be careful not to put any side load on at all. Not nice (or words to that effect !).

Yep, you've got to be careful!! You're much better off jacking off part of the sub-frame - far sturdier!

Mmm .... I looked for `hard points' underneath on the sub - frames but they are not very easy to get to with a trolley jack. And the longitudinal floor beams taper down and vanish under the rear passenger floor. Not a good car to jack - and I've jacked quite a few in my time !

There are definitely a couple of good points that I've used with a trolley jack on my Signum. I'll see if I can get a couple of pics for you. I agree, the rear points are the trickier one. You need to come forward down the car a fair bit before you can get a suitable point.
