Right tyre size for 18's?

I've just won a set of 18" XP2's on ebay but they have no tyres on them.

What size would I need for them? Are they 225/40 normally or 235/40

It's up to you tbh.

The 235/40s are a good bit cheaper hand have a better selection where as the 225/45 are the "propper" size and may be slightly more comfortable

235/45 isn't even in the book

225/45 is normally on standard vx 18s and 235/40 is fitted to the vxrs but the 235/40s look fine on standard vx rims

Soz pushed the wrong key 225/45 is the correct tyre size I had 40's on mine and looked too small in the arches

I've gone for 225/45's in the end.

Found a set of 4 Bridgestone Potenza's for £130. Part worn but have 6mil on so they will get me going until I can afford new ones.

Roll on collection day tomorrow!
