I had the same thing in my old loft, I just got the hoover and sucked the lot up.
Remember to block off the entry hole as I was told they come back the following summer.

I had one in my Eves, got some powder from B&Q, you spray it around the entrance, they then take it into the nest with their feet and it kills themall and the queen, took about 2 days to kill the whole nest.

As above, I'm sure they should be dead now Steven.

Be careful though imagine tearing that nest off & they all come swarming out into the loft.

I did the same...Contacted the local council first. "The nest will be dea now sir!!!"

So up I went with full overalls gloves and boots. My face aint that good so I left that unprotected. I placed a bin bag under to nest, got a very long rake, knocked the nest down into the back and ran.............. Hey presto They were dead!

It was qQuite a piece of construction, about the size of a beach ball! I was well impressed

They didn't come back next year though!

I had a Bees nest in the loft of my old flat a few years ago.

They came down through a cupboard and spread all over the house.

My cat thought it was a great deal of fun, I came back home through the front door to find the hallway absolutely full of the pests, and the cat was running up and down catching them with his paws.

Picked cat up, took him outside and then phoned the local council.

A pest control expert was sent round after about 30 mins. In between this time, I had wedged the door of the big "walk-in cupboard" shut with a brush handle, to stop them coming through into the flat from the loft.

When the pest control fella came in, and spotted the brush, he turned to me and said "You know.........they aren't that strong to be honest!!!".

Needless to say, I felt a bit of a prat!!.
