hi all,
the dreaded JD motor survey is in july"s issue and the veccy comes bottom in category..not a good write up and nearly bottom of entire survey..but a bad overall result for vauxhall,astra awful , insignia little bit better but the highest model was the meriva ! and that was still low.

Is that reliability or driver/owner satisfaction? The Vectra usually does poorly on satisfaction scores, especially on stuff like brakes, I guess it's all those peeps with 285s, tarring us 314-owners with the same brush...lol

people want to pay very little for a veccy and then expect audi a6 for fraction of a price , got my first one nearly to 200k now on my second 100k and im happy

well it really was a bad write up - just read it again and problems with everything from quality to engine.
the vectra did actually finish last in entire survey ! only chevrolet came below in manufacturers survey as well.
astra was last in class , corsa lower half in class and insignia near bottom of class - whats going on vauxhall ???
quite fancy a insignia in nr future but tempted by a skoda octavia vrs as according to JD ultra reliable.

Depends how much large a pinch of salt you take those sorts of surveys with - they represent the opinions of the drivers who filled out a survey, not every driver there is. If you've had problems with the car, as with on here, you're more likely to want to talk about it...

If you like the car, enjoy it. Don't listen to what other people say about it...
